Inspiring

I recently came across an Etsy shop that I completely love. The artist's work is just amazing. Located in Budapest, Foldi offers beautiful knit items that are created on a vintage knitting machine. I love the featherweight of these wraps as well as the dreamy colors. Looking through Etsy, I'm just constantly stunned by the talent and creativity offered there....xo

Bringing Sexy Back

With the exception of when I heard Ryan Gosling was a knitter....this pattern may be the sexiest thing to come to knitting in a long time! I am obsessed with this drapey top. The whispery lace weight yarn, the rich color and the asymmetrical design...total perfection. Alone or with a tiny open cardigan...so beautiful! You can purchase the pattern for this Pianissimo sleeveless top on Ravelry. I am so in love....this certainly isn't your grandmothers knitting. xo

This Pianissimo project was created by several other knitters on Ravelry as well. This great yarn photo is on emmacr's page.

New Week

I cannot believe it's Monday already....the weekend simply flew by! Cool temps are suppose to give way (a bit!) to slightly warmer days this week. I was on Etsy and I found these super cute, super charming blankets from YarningMade. I love them all! Handknit in Canada...they are a cozy wool blend. Great idea as stroller blankets or for a little one napping in the car. I love these for bringing to an outdoor sports game...how fun for sitting on the sidelines and keeping toasty! xo

Sunday Dinner

If Sunday goes by without a good, delicious dinner here it completely throws me off. More so than any other day...Sunday means no eating and running, no background television from the next room....just a good, well thought out dinner and peace. I am making this broccoli, pancetta and parmesan pasta this evening.

Peek right here for the yummy recipe...you'll find that her entire blog is just stunning. Take a moment to peek through the world of Mimi Thorrison.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday. xo

Spring Project

Spring is such a busy season and the more hectic our schedules get the more I need quiet moments to balance things out. I really appreciate a good knitting project this time of year. I don't feel rushed and these projects really center me.  I purchased three yarns last week and I'm really excited with the combination of tone and texture. I'm using a great ribbing pattern that is soft and perfectly drapey. The yarns I grabbed are: Cascade EcoDuo, Cascade Kid Seta Noir in a  shimmery dove grey and Kid Seta Noir in a shimmery cocoa color. Happy Knitting...xo

Perfect Day

I have no plans for today! I am so happy! It's been a week of endless softball for my daughter. After five games in three days....and at one point a series of wrong turns which led me to the bridge to Canada...I am happy to just knit and knit today....and maybe whip up this yummy looking pizza.

I'm a big fan of rosemary and caramelized onion. This looks so fresh and flavorful. I came across this amazing recipe originally on Pinterest.  You can get all the details right here....it's from the great site Cookin Canuck.

I'm in the middle of a grey ribbed scarf that I just love. I'm using three yarns and the combination is working perfectly. I'm only a day in but the texture and gauge is exactly what I wanted. Photos soon!

At the top of my knitting wish list...I love the Puffin yarn from Quince & Co. The quality looks exceptional and the colors are beautiful. I'm thinking of ordering this week for a cowl project....

Puffin by Quince & Co. I completely love this bulky yarn...

Favorite Thing

Sometimes you buy something and you just don't wind up loving it the way you thought you would. (I used to do that with cute little winter knit hats until I realized...under no circumstances...and despite how great they look on other women....am I ever a hat person.)

Other things you buy...and adore...and give as gifts. And then give as more gifts. That's how I feel about this little fabric bag I grabbed for my car about five years ago from The Mod Mobile on Etsy. It's the perfect little trash bag that hangs from your car shift and it's pretty and neat and super useable. I love that it has little plastic liners for emptying quickly and cleanly. It never gets sticky or yucky. I've had mine five years and the Amy Butler fabric has never faded. It literally looks like new.  At just $19, it's the perfect teacher gift for the end of the school year! Take a peek at this amazing shop here on Etsy.

Love this one...great fabric!! xo

Mine after years of use...still amazing condition!

Jewelry Love

I don't wear a lot of jewelry but the items I have I completely love. Not very long ago bought a long druzy pendant necklace and I wear it with everything from dresses to v-neck white tee shirts. It's a grey on gold...so pretty!

I just found these bracelets on Etsy in the shop Stiacouture....this shop is simply amazing. The artist lives in New Jersey and handcrafts the most beautiful creations. Worn alone or stacked...these bracelets are so pretty! Here are three of my favorites.....love! xo
