Just the tiniest bit of snow remains. I love the slightly warmer days and chilly nights. Yesterday, I put out a grouping of some pretty white pillar candles. They freshen up the living room and smell amazing. I love this outdoor photo shown below. I found it here on the website The Style Files....take a peek...this site is wonderful! xo

Something Wicked This Way Comes
Yesterday was just crazy gusty and windy...flickering lights & rattle the windows winds! I love stormy days like that....lighting candles just in case we lose power. Perfect night for a good suspenseful book. I'm currently reading The Wicked Girls by Alex Marwood.
I recently came across beautiful paraffin candles by the company Melt. They have a collection that is currently available at Target. Great addition to the kitchen island area along with some autumn decorations. These candles smell amazing, burn for approx. 40 hours and are priced at about the $15 mark. Great idea for teacher gifts, hostess gifts and Thanksgiving! I love the tile design on the glass...I save pretty holders, clean them out & use them at my desk. Perfect for paperclips, staples or stamps....

Simple Monday
It's freezing here today and I'm so thrilled! Bought a great pumpkin spice candle, gathered some wood for the fireplace and went to the market for a huge bunch of basil to toss with pasta tonight. I'm making this Garlic Herbed Pasta that I found on this wonderful food blog Pinch of Yum. Delicious recipes for chilly evenings!
I'm in the middle of knitting the Ombre Cowl still...loving the colors. Working with both Rowan and Cascade yarns currently. My favorite is Black Currant from Rowan...such a rich autumn color!
Found this image on Pinterest, but sadly no source for it....I love the inspiring simplicity. Happy Knitting! xo

Outdoor Days
Our summer here has started breezy and mild....I've so appreciated these days and evenings sitting outside with a light sweater & knitting. At night, on the patios, I love the coziness of outdoor candles! These are so great from Olive & Cocoa. The lichen moss and distressed wood add such great layers of texture and warmth.
I've been on a yarn hunt as of late. I found this fantastic Etsy shop, located in the UK, that creates stunning handspun yarn. The artist uses a huge array of natural fibers. Grey Bird Studio offers really unique yarn that is simply beautiful.

Warming Trend
I have already admitted to my obsession with candles. I love the atmosphere they create and the scent just makes the house cozier. My newest find is a fantastic line called Bella by Illume. I love the beautiful tin they come in...it has a pretty vintage-y feel to it. My favorite is their Vanilla Amber candle which is scented with warm vanilla, golden amber and orange blossom. Love this combination. Best bonus...these 10 ounce candles are priced under $15.00! You can purchase these online, at a variety of boutiques and currently at Target as well. They are such a steal! Last night I knit, watched Les Miserables and had this candle burning. A good, quiet night. xo

Morning on Bidwell
There's a pretty neighborhood close by that has a Farmers Market each Saturday morning. I love the springtime return of vendors selling fruit, vegetables, plants, candles, soaps and bread. There's even a yummy stand with lots of fresh salsa. You can smell fresh coffee from area shops...it's a perfect morning. I love coming home with my amazing finds for the kitchen and then deciding on some good recipes for the weekend....Happy Spring! xo
