Weekend Retreats

I love the weekend and we have a great dinner planned this evening at one of my very favorite restaurants. It will be a night of good company, Tuscan food and wine. But....I'm also in the middle of a new knitting project and I hope to steal some time for that before tonight's outing. I am working on a poncho done in a super soft kid mohair. I love this yarn and it's rich cocoa color. I'm using size 10 circular needles. I think this project will take me forever...I knit slow...but it will look so great come fall with jeans & my Frye boots!

Just finished this scarf in seed stitch using just one skein of Knit Collage Sister Yarn. I cast on nine stitches using size 19 needles by Lantern Moon. This is the best yarn I've ever knit with! Such a pretty rich eggplant color and I love the super chunky, thick/thin texture. Do you have a weekend project? xo

  2. Hi...I used a seed stitch for this on size 19 needles. It took exactly one skein of sister yarn. I believe I cast on about 9 stitches.

  4. Hi Courtney! I bought this on line....Purl Soho has a great selection. Cannot find it locally though Have Ewe Any Wool has a small grouping of Colinette yarn that's pretty.

    1. Thanks Anita! My poncho is such a work in progress. Seriously, there may be snow on the ground before I get this done. Hope you have a great weekend! xo
