Dinner & Knitting

Nearly every Friday afternoon I stop at the local yarn store, Have Ewe Any Wool, and grab fresh skeins for a weekend of knitting. Never mind that I have baskets full...the need to stop and grab more is too much to resist. Bonus this weekend...I had amazing handspun yarn delivered yesterday from Knit Collage. Two big skeins of Sister yarn in Rich Eggplant. This super bulky is thick/thin...each skein approx. 115 yards. (www.knitcollage.com) I can't wait to knit up a long, chunky scarf in a nubby seed stitch.

So.....along with a knitting project, every good weekend needs a well planned meal. My new favorite weekend recipe: Roasted Red Pepper & Goat Cheese Pasta from www.laurenslatest.com. This is the best pasta recipe I've encountered in so long. The freshly roasted red peppers are well worth the effort...it's amazing! Mix up an arugula salad & a good wine and you're all set. Happy Weekend!
