A Local Favorite

I was peeking around Etsy today looking at hand spun yarns from all over.  I was on one site, KnoxFarmFiber, for a particularly long time when I suddenly noticed that the artist was from East Aurora, New York. I am in East Aurora often as it's only about 40 minutes from my house & I love going to a yarn shop there called The Wooly Lamb. It's also home to the Roycroft Inn which is just an amazing arts and crafts treasure!

The Roycroft Inn lounge area. I've enjoyed wine & great live jazz here on Friday evenings.

The organic yarn from Knox Farm Fibers is truly beautiful!  I cannot wait to purchase skeins for a fingerless glove gift I'm working on. Love the texture & rich colors! xo

  1. Hi Karen--I am the owner/spinner of KnoxFarmFiber on etsy. I'd like to thank you for your kind words about our yarn. The original yarn was indeed made from the fleece of the Knox Farm State Park sheep. These days, I spin fiber from organic sheep and goats that I have discovered living on WNYfarms as well as those whose fiber is for sale on etsy-- It's a great mix! I'm still learning as I go and am having a terrific time spinning and dyeing and creating yarn for my etsy (and local) customers.
    Thanks again

    1. Hi Judith! Thanks so much for your note. Your yarn is truly beautiful! I remember bringing my daughters to the Knox Farm State Park and purchasing yarn on site. I look forward to buying from your Etsy shop. Have a wonderful weekend! Karen
